The school children are back. The Bindu Home children are back.  Nandini, a four  year-old Bindu child has learned a tribal song from her grandmother which she sings for us.  Lilly (five years) wants to know why we sent her away. Ch. Praveen (with cleft palate problem who now speaks freely after two surgeries) is not happy about us keeping the school closed for so long.  He has no friends in his village anymore.   We are so glad that they all came back.  They fill the cups of our lives with joy.

The results of the 7th grade exams are announced.  All 8 students pass with flying colors. Two students get first and second places in the town.  Their achievement is published in a local paper.

New admissions are coming in for the next academic year.  We opened an 8th grade class.  We laid foundation for a temporary shed to accommodate 8th grade and LKG  (lower kindergarten) which also double as lunch hall.  Steve Wiser (from the Bruderhof) teaches English full time.  He has 30 years teaching experience.  Martha, his wife, takes care of the Grace children's clinic, while Dorien their 19 year-old daughter teaches LKG in Devarkonda.

Don Jacob's book From Rubbles To Rejoicing was completed.  It has been translated into the Telugu language which is spoken by 30 million people.  The book will be released on July 3rd to the pastors who attended the seminar on Christian Leadership (based on the book of Nehemiah) in 1997.  Little Nehemiah, who was born during the seminar and was dedicated to God by Don and Anna Ruth Jacobs, will be present there.
